Welcome to my website!

Originally from Papineauville, Quebec, I studied Fine Art in MontrĂ©al (John Abbott 1994 and Concordia 1997) and in Germany (Mainz 2001) where I received a Master's degree in installation sculpture. I have since participated in numerous projects in Europe as well as in Canada. I currently live in Ottawa and work out of my Aylmer, Qc. studio.

I work mainly in sculpture and installation, using assemblage of found or natural materials. Observation drawing in pencil and watercolour is also an important part of my practice. I generally explore natural history themes: stars, fish, birds, landscape. In-depth study and observation of my subject precedes all my projects: I want to know the anatomy of the bird I am drawing, the history of the site I'm investing with an installation, the properties of the materials I integrate in my assemblages. My works are: subtle interventions, juxtaposed found objects, or in drawing, a minimum of essential lines and elements. I seek precision, simplicity and poetry.
